Letrozole belongs to a class of medicines known as aromatase inhibitors. It helps to block the formation of the hormone estrogen.

Some types of breast cancer need estrogen, and letrozole stops tumor growth by decreasing estrogen levels.

Letrozole is for the treatment of breast cancer in postmenopausal women only.

Femara (Letrozole) may be described as a white to yellowish, practically odorless, crystalline powder.

Moreover, Femara (Letrozole) easily dissolves in Dichloromethane, partially dissolves in Ethanol and almost does not dissolve in water.

Letrozole tablet is to be taken orally; and maybe taken with or without food.

Sometimes, Femara (Letrozole) may even cause one’s face, lips, tongue or throat to swell, unusual vaginal bleeding, sudden weakness and a severe itching sensation.

Furthermore, Femara (Letrozole) may even cause Insomnia, hives, Dyspnea (Abnormal Breathing) and vaginal dryness.

Moreover, Femara (Letrozole) may even cause severe abdominal pain, loss of one’s bone/s (fracture/s), rapid breathing and Arthralgia (severe joint pain).

Furthermore, Femara (Letrozole) may even cause sudden fainting spells, paralysis on one side of the body, Jaundice and dark urine.

Inform your doctor if you are allergic to the formulation of this medication or any other medication in any other form.

Femara (Letrozole) interacts with various medications, such as, Conjugated Estrogens, Codeine, Tamoxifen, Diphenhydramine, Ethinyl Estradiol and Raloxifene.

In case of overdose, call your local poison control center at 1-800-222-1222. If the victim has collapsed or is not breathing, call local emergency services at 911.

Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, breast feeding or planning to conceive.

If you conceive whilst on a course with this medication inform your doctor immediately.

If you need to undergo any kind of surgery, inform your doctor you are taking this medicine.

Do not treat yourself with any OTC medication without consulting your health care professional.

Do not double doses to make up for a missed dose.

Letrozole medicine is primarily used for the treatment of breast cancer in post menopausal women.

Osteoporosis
Liver disease

It is very important for the patient to know that before consuming Femara (Letrozole) they must inform their health care professional if they have ever had a history of or are currently suffering from Osteopenia, Angina, Coronary Artery Disease, uncontrolled alcoholic consumption or high blood pressure.
